Lovers of cross country skiing can enjoy the local skiing trail in winter. The main skiing trail connecting the mountain ranges of Beskydy and Javorníky starts right in front of the hotel Husárik. The basic trail connects Makov-Bumbálka, situated on the border of the Czech Republic and continues to the mountains of the Veľký Javornik and Čadca - Husárik. The total length of this trail is about 54 km.

At present, the first stage of its establishment has been completed, i.e. 3 resting points have been built, 58 guideposts have been installed and 23 information tables have been erected. The trail varies in the altitude from 685 to1050 metres above the sea level. The mountain ridge of the Veľký Javorník enriches its visitors not only by the unforgettable atmosphere of the local settlements and but also by a unique stone gallery in nature created by artists from the regions of Kysuce and Považie.
